Finnian is here!

Finnian Jett was born on 11-18, at 38 weeks 1 day, after weeks of a high leak. We transferred to the hospital right after he was born due to a huge flow of blood that wasn't slowing. The doctor estimated that I lost 2 and a half liters.

He never left my hands while we were at the hospital. One of the nurses hated us from the second that we got there and refused to let her take him to the nursery or put him in a hotbed. She later called CPS on me for waiving the standard newborn tests. Utter insanity.

The baby is beautiful, alert, rarely cries, and I think he drinks his weight in milk each day lol.

wonderful!

i'm sorry that the nurse called CPS. she does know that you have every right to refuse newborn tests right? as does CPS? hopefully, they're not bothering you anymore!

Congratulations! Hopefully you set the nurse and CPS straight concerning your legal rights so that you can get on to more important things - like nursing, snuglling, sleeping, and just enjoying your babymoon!

Thank you

Yes, she was well aware of my rights. She just didn't like them, or my awareness of them. Mostly she didn't like the fact that I was unbending in the fact that he is MY BABY not her patient, and that he was healthy and we were NOT there for him but strictly for me, so LEAVE HIM ALONE. As part of her complaint to CPS, this longtime labor/delivery nurse also claimed that I was endangering my baby because my placenta was still attached to me. 10 minutes after he was born. I really can see no option other than hatefulness and spite on her part.

The evil eye? By all means

Thank you all! He is wonderful, I am far better rested now than I was when I was pregnant (ironic eh), and I can't take my eyes off of him. He's going to grow up with a stalker complex because I stare at him sleep, stare at him awake, every expression makes me laugh, etc etc etc. Poor baby lol
