Holy crap! I guess those itty bitty contractions I had Monday night did something! I'm 3.5 cm dilated and 70% effaced. Baby's heartrate was strong and fast and he's head down and ready to go. My doc is estimating his weight at about 7 pounds. She doesn't think it'll be long at all before he makes his appearance... we'll see.

I'm so excited!!!!!

That's wonderful news .. I know that you had hoped to avoid induction. Also, according to my midwife, being so dilated/effaced in advance of active labor bodes well for you having an easy labor.

Wonder if you will make it to December or not?

Ooh, I'm jealous! I'm still only a 2 and have had BAD contrax practically every night. Wishing you a speedy delivery!

Wow! That's fantastic! I'm jealous I won't be getting checked (my choice) before labor anyways, but I doubt I'm dilated at all. Never have before labor.

Ooh - I'm jealous! I'm getty antsy this time around (last time I went to 41 1/2 weeks). I guess I'm more stressed out with all the holidays and taking care of a toddler - but I SO wish I was in your shoes...

Very cool. I was 4cm for a week before I really went into labor, and it seemed like I went from nothing to hard labor in an hour. Have fun!

Gee, I guess I better actually get off my ass and get my laundry finished and my bag packed. The baby's is ready to go, but I haven't packed a thing for myself yet. I know I could walk around 3.5 cm dilated for weeks, but I have a feeling it's going to be sooner rather than later.

And I hope you're all right in that my labor and birth will be easier due to dilating and effacing so easily!!
