Seriously. Has anyone else seen this?! On the news yesterday they were talking about some town actually have a "drive up" and get your flu shot. Like a friggen fast food joint or something. This lady was like, "People like it better this way so they don't have to get out of their cars and wait in line." Umm, so they don't have to get off their lazy arses, you mean?!! Pffft. The flu shot is such a load to begin with but this?! Coooome. Oooon.

We have it here. I'm not anti-vax, so I thought it was pretty funny. Good way for those who wouldn't get them otherwise to get them. *shrug* Whoever thought it up had a good idea for the pro-vaxers.

ETA: I'm no pro-vax either. We didn't go to the drive thru shot place. lol.

You know, I went to pay my water bill a couple of weeks ago and there was a ton of traffic at this church on the way. There was a man directing traffic in the middle of the street. He was wearing a safety vest with "Arkansas Dept of Health" on it. On my way out, I saw a line of cars and what looked like people leaning into the vehicle. I should've asked, but I think I was afraid that I was witnessing drive thru flu shots. I meant to ask here if they exist and forgot until I saw this post.

I wonder how they can get a full history of the injectees this way. Aren't they supposed to exclude certain pops from the flu shot? Or is it all-inclusive now?

Oh no -- ya see with the drive-thru influenza clinics, they tell people to pull over in the parking lot and wait a few minutes to see if they react. But get this, if they think they're having a reaction, they should honk their horns.

I'm not kidding, this is what was published in an article recently regarding drive-thru clinics. It's in a recent thread if you want the article.

Eeps- whatever happened to the HCP observing the patient for a short time after administering a vaccine in case there's an adverse reaction? How is it a good idea for somebody to be DRIVING at that time?

This is just awful. I live in a fairly small town and there was a line, actually, two of them! It looked like the local McD's at lunchtime. I can't help but think of sheep lining up for the slaughter. Ew. Just makes me feel ill. And not with the flu.

And I'm sure it was the very same people at both MickyD's and the drive-by shootings.
