What happened to Morgan Spurlock after "Supersize Me!"?

I just saw "Supersize Me" and was blown away by it! Go rent this if you haven't already! They showed Morgan's girlfriend making a "detox diet" for him after the experiment was over and I assume his body went back to its previous healthy state, but wondered if anyone knew how long it took? I was floored that in one month he gained 25 pounds and his bloodwork went from great to terrible! I'm trying to find a "what happened after" on the internet but no success yet....

He had/has a great show on FX called 30 days.

Season 1
Product Description
From Morgan Spurlock, the Academy Award nominated writer, director, and star of the hit film Supersize Me, comes Thirty Days, the intelligent and innovative TV show that dares to ask: "Do we really know what it’s like to see the world through our neighbors’ eyes?"

Explore some of America’s most pressing social issues by following the lives of ordinary people who agree to live well-outside their comfort zones for thirty days: Spurlock and his fiancée try to make ends meet by working minimum wage jobs, a devout Christian immerses himself in Islamic culture, a homophobic young man goes to live and work in San Francisco’s largely-gay Castro District, and more. Provocative, poignant, and hilarious, Thirty Days is a true original…often unpredictable and always eye-opening!

I feel stupid now - my dh saw the movie last night and at the very end they have a "what happened next' thingy (I guess I thought it was the credits the first time and skipped?)

anyway (IIRC), the Supersize expermiment took one month to gain about 25 pounds and have his blood lab work go from healthy to sick. After he was done and started eating healthily/exercising again, it took 8 weeks for his labs to get back to heatlhy levels again (liver enzymes, triglycerides, cholesterol, etc). It took 5 months for him to lose the 1st 20 pounds, and another 9 months to lose the remainder!

I saw him on the Katie Kouric news on one of the first days she was on. He was doing the opinion piece. His new show sounds good. I'll have to see if the library has it.

Yeah, I loved 30 days quite a bit, but this guy is a double-edged sword. iTunes had a free download of the first episode (pretty neat that iTunes has free TV shows sometimes).

But, unfortunately, he made a speech that got a lot of criticism at a high school in Philly calling special-needs kids "retards" and using lots of profanity while inappropriately poking fun at teachers thus pissing off the faculty members there. : I would post a link on here, but I don't wanna violate any TOS, so I think that you can google it and research it yourself.

He just released a new movie "What Would Jesus Buy?" about the commercialization of Christmas. I haven't seen it yet.

Well, he did go on a speaking tour of high schools. He was supposed to be talking about "health issues." He got tossed from my DH's auditorium by the principal after making inane comments about "kids who rode the short bus" and saying the f- word.

SuperSize Me was excellent. If you liked it, also look for his book "Don't eat this book". It was more about food and health issues related more to kids.

I liked the episode of 30 Days where the two peple from the big city went to live on the commune.

Totally off topic, but I had a class with his ex-SIL last year.
