Home from hypo repair...

Jonah did amazingly well. He was back to himself literally hours after surgery, and once the IV was removed (three cheers for breastfeeding -- just like last time, they were able to take it out sooner b/c he was getting fluids by nursing) he was running the halls -- less than 24 hours post-op.

Everything looks good, he has had almost no pain, there is no bruising and you would never know he had surgery six days ago. Heck, the day after surgery you would never have known he'd just had surgery! The urologist said that there is some extra skin on the underside that could be removed later if need be. Since that sounds like it's simply cosmetic, we will leave the decision up to Jonah to make when he's older. I'm glad there is a part of this that he will have control over.

Thanks for keeping us in your thoughts -- I'm a firm believer in the power of positive thinking and know that all the vibes everyone sent our way had a hand in his quick recovery.

We see the urologist in six weeks to follow up, but so far everything looks good.
