adhesions

Thread Starter
For those of is who have dealt with premature retraction or "cleaning underneath"...

How do we know if there are adhesions? Is it a wait and see thing?

Yes it is a wait and see thing. There is no way to know until the boy is old enough to retract on his own if there is going to be anything there that will cause a issue for him. If there are any scare tissue adhesions he can go in for a very simple procedure with just local anesthesia and have it cut apart.

adhesians are normal until they can retract on their own....

The foreskin is naturally adheared to the glans until a chemical change happens and the adheasion breaks naturally.

If a retraction happens before hand then the glans will heal itself and readhear to the foreskin until it is ready to be retracted....

Adhesions are not the negative thing doctors make them out to be.

However, skin bridges are another story, but those only happen with circed babies or boys with really damaged foreskins. Takes 2 open wounds to heal together basically.

hope that helps a bit, but it is normal for the glans to readhear after a premature retraction.
