weird spot on intact foreskin

So DS had a horrid yeast rash a month ago, and its been GONE for a couple of weeks.

The other day, Tuesday, I noticed small red spots on his scrotum and foreskin. By post-bathtime Wednesday the small red spot on his foreskin looked like a whitehead pimple. didn't touch it. His scrotum still looked the same.

This morning, it was back to just looking red.

This evening post bathtime its back to looking like a pimple, AND the spot on his scrotum is now red around the edgees and white in the middle

Could this also be yeast?

Help me decide if I should call the doctor tomorrow. Lots of this is because i simply don't have a penis, foreskin, or scrotum, and am just not confident as to what this might be. I'm also mildly afraid of taking him to the doc and them retracting his foreskin.

Definitely could be yeast, but I would take him to the doctor with STRICT instructions not to retract and get it cultured to be sure.

I would forgo the doc and get some mycelex and apply it first. If it seems to get better (if its yeast it should do so within a few short hours) then you know its yeast- if not then call doc.

I say this b/c when dd had a horrible rash I was soo worried- rushed her to the doc and the pediatrician said "oh its yeast, get some gynolotromin cream." Ok....I go to the medicine isle and am looking for something lable "gynolotromin" cream. Notta. So I ask the pharmacist and he says "oh thats monistate or mycelex cream..." I told him it was for my dds diaper rash and he said that yep, almost all diaper rashes have some yeast in them....

It certainly wouldn't hurt to try the monistate/mycelex first. Just get the cream and dab a bit on him, gently rub it in and let him go diaper free or put the diaper on. I also would always pull the diaper down between the legs so there was more of a gap between my kids bums and the diaper then if it was left snug agains the skin.

And keep in mind how resilient the foreskin is! I can get (skin) abrasions on my foreskin some times from over-ambitious masturbation and if I leave it alone (or sometimes switch methods...) until it heals, it comes back just as strong as ever!

Imagine if he DIDN'T have that protective layer of skin covering his glans. A rash on the glans? Nooooooo thanks!

I hope he springs back soon.
