TTC 6+ months December Support Thread - Page 2

Hey Ladies!

Can you please add me to the TTC#1 since 05/06

I am so sorry Tenk

We are getting DH SA done and if I'm not preggo then I will start Clomid next cycle

I am 5DPO and I feel good about my chart, but I am also trying not to get my hopes up. I keep rubbing my belly in hopes that there is a baby in there who just needs my encouragement

Tenk, I hope you feel better soon.

My teenager is a pretty cool guy! But some of his friends can be obnoxious.

good luck Susykat!

Oh dear - first names? I'll try, but no promises. I've been having insomnia-ish issues, not being able to fall asleep at night, staying up until 1,2 even 3 am. So I took melatonin last night, and I zonked!!! I was out like a light by 12:30, and I only pushed to stay up util then because Barenaked Ladies were on Leno. The bad thing is, I slept so deeply that I slept thru the alarm (actually I turned it off without waking up ) thru the tv (set on a timer to come on for an hour) and thru DH's calls. I finally woke up at 10:30, but only because I had to pee. I think next time I take it, it'll be at like 5pm, so it wears off around sunrise, not noon.

Lily - teenagers? Wow, for some reason when you mentioned kids I was thinking little ones. I feel normal too - although last night after ripping seams from not 1 but 2 screwed up quilt blocks, I was a wee bit grumpy. I can't blame the Clomid for that though.

Teneal - I'm glad you want to stick around for a bit. I and totally hear ya on the car thing. 2 years ago when we were starting to think about trying, I was driving a 2-seat convertible (well - i still drive it on nice days, but now it's a sunny-day car only) and so after I finished school I jokingly told DH I wanted a car, since I got "gypped" with no car for graduating high school - so I therefore "deserved" one for college. (Totally kidding, mind you - I was just happy to be done with school ) DH surprised me when he agreed that I "deserved" a car, and also noted that putting a car seat in the back seat of a 2-seater was going to be difficult at best. So we went out and bought a really nice 4-door Subaru wagon, and while I love the car, but sometimes I swear that unused backseat is mocking me. If I had a magic wand I'd wave it for everyone in this thread..

greengirl - fingers crossed!

Ity, Nope I've got big kids 15 and 7. That is why this whole process has been somewhat emotional, not knowing if I am TOO OLD or what. I don't feel too old. I don't think I look too old (but what do I know, I think I look exactly the same as I always have). Anyway, I think I have thought all that through by now, but it has been a major thought. It is just that I didn't become pregnant since I had my 7 year old. I was hoping it would just happen sometime naturally during that time without thinking about it. But it didn't. So time flew.

(I am 37)

OH!!!

Hi Katherine!!

Posts are getting all crossed up. Angel, they don't know I am trying because that is just TMI for my teenager. When it does finally happen, I think they will be happy and just go with the flow as our household goes that way nicely.

One thing my son recently surprised me by saying "mom, look at this guitar for if you ever have a little girl" (it was a little daisy guitar) so that showed me he still thinks I am in the running!

Wow this thread is going along very quickly. Already page 2 and it's just barely December where I'm at!

I can't believe that Christmas is right around the corner. TTC makes time go so fast - I'm always looking ahead two weeks. This past year has gone by in a blink of an eye. Well, maybe I'll get a BFP as a Christmas gift this year - AF will likely be expected right around Christmas Day. I'll be back east - I wonder if being screened with check-in luggage would damage a pregnancy test? Or it could be carried on and go through the Xray machine...

Tenk - Hope the pain eases up on you. Good luck making a decision on what you want to do.

Divacup - I've been interested in getting on but I'm in the same camp as Ity needing the pre-child size right now but hoping the next AF will never come and I will be needing the after-child size 9 months from now.

Ity - My husband and I chose a new car based on safety. We made sure it had LATCH in the back seat. We saw the same car in a parking lot with a booster seat in the back and it made me sad that our car has nothing in the back seat.

lily - it's pretty brave to have a little one while you already have teens. Many parents would be looking at a "finish line".

mommy_i_c - I think your chart looks promising.

susykat - Welcome to the thread! Hope your stay here will be short

Lily --

37 isn't too old! I'm 32, but my DH is 42. If I were to be pregnant, I would be due on 8/15 -- 3 weeks before DH's 43rd birthday. And this will be a first child for both of us. Sometimes that is a little scary!
You know, I just don't want a finish line yet. I am not ready for that. I enjoy my family tremendously.

Hey people.

Just wanted to poke my head in on the new thread.
Nothing moving over here...CD5trillion. Not really...I'm like CD84 or something.

WOW! I can't believe it's December already! Yikes - has it really been that long since I went off bcp and since the new year started? We're coming up on a lot of first anniversaries this month - we bought our first house around this time last year and went off bcp. PLUS, ds is turning two in February!

My how time flies! Nothing new really to update on here - still waiting to o!

Ity I was taking melatonin last year but I read that it decreased fertility so I stopped in December last year. How long have you been taking it?

LMAO I'm glad you liked that.

If I weren't trying to have a baby...not having a period for two months would be fanrockintastic. I'd be hanging from the chandeliers. lol

If the spotting would stop, that would be nice.

2 month AF? that sounds like no fun.

Oooooh - I hadn't head that. I don't take it often - once a month maybe, mostly when my sleep schedule is all out of whack. I was hoping if I fell asleep early last night, I'd wake up early today. (yeah, that worked... ) I figured it had to be better than having a glass of wine or taking Nyquil.

I just feel like I am doing this all for nothing. I feel like it isn't going to work. God, I was so excited yesterday. Now I just feel plain worried it won't work.

Lily~
It's gonna work! It has to, because I said so, and in my house, (even on my computer) WHAT I SAY GOES! Now, I'm getting pregnant this month too. wonder if that'll work...

Ok, something very odd is going on right now. I've got sour stomache. I ate some scrambled eggs for lunch, and now my burps taste like rotten eggs! What the heck?
