Broccoli stinking up my deep freeze-HELP!

I had a huge bag of broccoli in my deepfreeze. Now, everything in it as well as the deep freeze itself smells of broccoli! It's really making fussy because now I can't put anything in it or it ends up permeated with the smell/taste of yarky old broccoli.

How do I get rid of this smell/taste or is it just ruined forever now?

Was the broccoli cooked? I've never had that problem with fresh broc...but then again, it never stays frozen for long in my house.

What I would probably do is clean everything out of the freezer, wash the entire inside out with baking soda solution, then put several boxes of baking soda with holes poked in them in there.

Not sure if it would work, but that's what I would try first! good luck!!
