So here's a question: I feel no difference in my boobs or in nursing. I don't know that I'm pregnant, but I might be. I haven't taken a test. (I don't know why, but I just have a test aversion -- I guess I'm annoyed at myself for not charting well enough to be able to just rely on my chart to tell me.) I'm wondering if others who definitely are pregnant are still feeling no difference at all. The fact that I don't is making me think either that I'm not pregnant or the pain/discomfort isn't as bad when you have a really big supply (DD doesn't eat a whole lot of food).

If I am pregnant, I ovulated somewhere between November 16-21, so I guess that would make me 4-5 weeks.
I'm 6 weeks today, and I feel no discomfort at all. I thought it was odd too, considering how many people I've heard of that got pg and said that nursing became extremely painful.

It depends. Sometimes it still feels the same, sometimes my nipples hurt a little as if her latch is off (but it's not that I can tell)

Interestingly enough for a week or so she's been telling me that she doesn't like "moo" (our word for nursing) She still does it, but says she doesn't like it a couple of times a day.

Nope! DS will be two in a few weeks and was nuring on and off with no end in sight. DH and I were actually out of town last weekend just the two of us when we found out about baby #4....and I decided just not to start up again. I nused DD on and off during my pgcy with DS and I really didn't like it and I REALLY have no desire to tandem nurse after the baby is born. DS seems to be fine with it. The couple times since Sunday that he has asked I told him they were empty and he could give them a hug, which he did and then went on his way....

Ouch.. it started to really hurt when he first latches on.. especially the left breast -- anyone else experience pain?

Yes I've started to have nursing pain. Part of the problem is that he's just nibbling anymore, and he's off and on the nipple the whole time. I have started to limit him more and give him snuggles or a drink or a snack if he's really not getting down to nursing business.

I don't know how much longer I'm going to nurse him, I don't want to tandem so I think I'll nightwean him after Christmas in the hopes that he'll sleep better (and me too, I'm exhausted) and then we'll go from there. We're moving March 1 so I think I'll continue to nurse at least until we get settled in, but I want to proceed gently so if he really wants it, I'll do my best. Taking it one day at a time.....

I had pain before I found out about the pregnancy, but now I don't. Maybe I've blocked it in my mind since I know why

I am the same as the pp. The latch hurt so bad a few days ago and now it doesn't hurt at all. Nursing didn't really hurt with my last pregnancy either

My nipples are a little bit tender, but I think I'm getting used to it. Nursing was definitely uncomfortable last week - and now it's fine. Can't be as bad as the first 6 weeks with DS, when we both had thrush and didn't know it. OUCH!!!

I'm eating two bowls of oatmeal a day to try to keep my supply up. I will be heartbroken if my milk dries up, because my 14mo is nowhere near ready to stop nursing.

Hopefully nursing throughout, although we seem to be having supply issues ever since I got pregnant... sigh. :

Me! My daughter is almost 2 (3 more days!) and still nurses 1-2 times a night and eleventy-million times a day. Okay, maybe more like 6-8 times a day. I'd love to tandem nurse. I have a streak in me that likes to freak out my in-laws and that would totally do it

No, that's not the real reason. I plan on CLW and don't see any reason for this pregnancy to change those plans.

DS is only 12.5 mo, so I am hoping to be able to nurse through the pg and then tandem.

With ds my breasts were SORE, but I think I was a couple weeks further along at that point than I am now. I get twinges of pain sometimes, but nothing yet that I can't deal with.

I worry about supply since ds nurses for 90% of his nutrients. I need to make some more granola... mmmmm...food...I can't keep my mind off it these days.

I'm hoping to be tandem nursing my 11 month old. it's good to see others with small babies here. I can concerned about my supply dropping and my dd isn't much of a feeder now and she might self wean which I think I would find sad (or if it's starting to hurt, maybe not).
So I'm in the yes, maybe club

I want to try to continue to nurse. Our DD is 15 months and nurses a lot in the evening and early morning and a few times during the day, so not ready to wean! I am feeling a bit sad for her that we already got pregnant (it took us 3 years and IVF to conceive her so we are very surprized to be already pregnant with no. 2) so continueing to nurse her will perhaps help me with those feelings.

Just found out ...and 3 1/2 yr daughter is still nursing. Mostly at night...but sometimes occasionally through the day. I am open to continuing now and after baby - curious as to how DD will do.

I hope to continue for some time yet(m)

My youngest will be 2 the day after Christmas and he still nurses 3 or 4 times a day and VERY often at night..lol.

I've never nursed past week 10 of pregnancy, but I'm going to try to this time as he definitely isn't up for weaning yet.

Nope, not this time, thank goodness. I thought I was going to be sucked dry last time. I had a 3 year old and newborn twins at one time last time! I just didn't have enough boobs and it was taking alot out of me! Thank goodness the twins are 6 now!
