The starter SNS is the one with only one tube. That does not work good at all. The regular SNS has two tubes. I found it to be so much easier and cost efficient than the Lact-Aid. It depends on the individual. I love the lady at Lact-Aid though. She is so kind and helpful. I ended up sticking with the SNS since it is pretty much the same as the Lact-Aid except that I can use smaller tubes so baby gets more from me. Lact-Aid advertises that the baby gets more of the mom because of the way the milk is allows for suckling. I have not found that to be true. I have used both and have tested both myself as of actually sucking on it. Also, the IBCLC (a nationally well known one) that I work with has tested them out and has found the same to be true. This lady personally knows the lady from Lact-Aid so she is quite familiar with the whole aspect of it. Some people like the Lact-Aid better since it is in a baggy and softer rather than a hard container. I like that part, except I have had lots of problems with leakage. The baggies are super expensive where as the container on the SNS I can clean with a bottle brush and sterilize in the dishwasher.
I hope this helps.
