Ergo or Ecobaby????

I'm trying to decide between the two. Anyone have both and can compair?? I'm love the fabric or the ecobaby but I love the backpack for the Ergo.

Those with the Ergo and backpack, how comfortable is it?? How much do you use it and how much will it hold?? Can you wear the baby in front and still have the backpack?? Does it look funny attached?? Any other facts about the backpack??

What about the fabric of both. I've got a ring sling and the fabric is fading at the shoulder. It is very noticeable. I don't want to spend all that money and have the fabric fade.

Can I wash them?? Do they clean up well??

Those are all the questions I can think of, please share any other info you think is important.

Oh and to answer some of your questions that may not be addressed on the other thread:

I belive both the ERGO and the bECO are fairly easy to clean. A little spot cleaning but it's not like they get that dirty. If they do, you can machine wash them and air dry-- but not frequently.

Both carriers are pretty high end and therefore you shouldn't see much fading if any at all. I think there's some general wear but I doubt it's anything extremely noticeable. My ERGO looks used but it's not beat up looking at all.

My black Ergo is horribly faded after using it for a year (I'm kind of embarrased about how bad it looks). If you get an Ergo, I'd definitely recommend the camel color rather than the black color.

But what about the Camel getting dirty? I've got the Black/Critter for about a year and so far haven't had any problems, even with washing it twice now. Maybe you could contact ERGO to get it replaced?

Well I ended up with the black ergo, all my shoes that I reall really like are black so I would feel funny with the camel. If it fades quickly I'll call and ask about it.

Does the beco have any pockets??
