I have a hotsling, and a kk fleece pouch, i use both all the time. I also have a baby bjorn that i got for my older son 4 years ago, i've used it maybe 5 times total ever, lol.
Im debating what i should get next??
Im leaning towards a wrap, but thinking a ring sling would be good for breastfeeding?
Any advice?
Im new to babywearing, my daughter is 9 weeks old.

Well, I loved my Moby Wrap--absolutely adored it. It was a hassle to put on when outside but it was comfortable for me since the weight was evenly distributed across my two shoulders and back and my little one was very snug, secure and warm in it. It was the only way to calm him down (he was a high strung babe) and I was so grateful for it. When he reached 20 lbs., though, it became uncomfortable because the Moby Wrap is stretchy and I felt it didn't give enough support. I've never tried a woven wrap but I hear that they are wonderful as well. When ds outgrew the Moby, I started carrying him traditionally on my back. I also tried a ring sling but the weight felt so unbalanced and it really hurt. I was never able to breastfeed in it anyway (maybe because I'm heavier chested). It was the Ellaroo lightly padded sling and the craftmanship was great--it just wasn't my preferred carrier. As ds got bigger, I then made an ABC carrier (mei tei) and that is what I used up until recently. He's 28 lbs. and I don't really carry him in a carrier anymore (too heavy).

I agree that something like the Moby wrap would be great. Not a ring slings kinda gal, so I can't give you any advice there. They just didn't work great for me. I highly recommend the ERGO though once your little one is a few months older

I would sell the bjorn and then buy something new with the money.

I love ring slings for breastfeeding. I'm not able to bf easily in anything else that I've tried. Possible, but not easy.

Your DD is only 9 weeks, so one shouldered carries probably are still okay for now - unless she's a hefty 9 weeks. Then you might want to consider a two shouldered carrier.

I just got the hang of a ring sling and I like it! I can't breastfeed in it (DS will only go in T2T), but I like it nonetheless. DS is 15 weeks today and over 15 lbs now, so one shouldered carries are tough for anything longer than 30 minutes (I know, I know, I'm a wimp).

I've liked wraps and mei tais from the very beginning. The mt has a smaller learning curve and it very comfortable for extended periods of time. The wrap has a bigger learning curve, but is also very comfortable. Both can be used for front and back carries at 9 weeks.

I agree with the pp - the moby is super snuggly for little babes.

I really love a ring sling, but I also think a Moby would be great. Once the child is a little bigger I would try a Mei Tai and/or a woven wrap for really comfortable 2 shouldered carrries.

Thanks so much, she is a big girl, around 14 pounds already i think, im really debating over a mei tai or wrap now, since my shoulder is already starting to get sore after around an hour.
