James-Asheby was born last Saturday at 6pm. After having contractions for weeks and weeks and a false alarm at the hospital the week before, he came at 38 weeks. I had pretty bad contractions all day Sat but didn't want to go to the hospital only to be sent home again. I was laying on the couch when suddenly I felt a huge pop and heard it too, but no water came out so I just didn't worry about it, but within minutes I was on my hands and knees moaning into James shirt. He got and said we are going to the hospital, but I still refused for about an hour. When I finally said ok we got Amethyst in the car and when I stepped back out to get the camera my water broke everywhere, lol. Ran back inside to get some fresh panties and we were off. It was super fast and super hard. Contractions were every 3 minutes apart for the entire trip (we live 45 minutes away). We got to the hospital at about 5:35, got me hooked up to the monitors and IV. By then I was screaming like a mad woman, seriously. I was 4 cm, then I felt like I was going to poop (ew, lol), which I of course yelled out for the world to hear. The nurse checked me again and I was 7, walked out to call the dr again, and I told James he was coming out. James lifted the sheets and sure enough, he was coming out. So James got to deliver his son!!! OMG isn't that awesome! I went from 4cm to delivered in 25 minutes!! Yikes, talking about pain!! No pain meds or anything, ahhhh, my nightmare!
Soooo, anyway, he's here! 8lbs 2 oz. And immediately after he came out TONS of fluid poured out of me, it was crazy. James was covered to the elbows and my mom and the nurse were standing in it, lol. I think I fell asleep the minute he came out I was so exhausted.
Unfortunately I now have severe post-partum depression, so I feel like a horrible mom, but we are working on it. Hopefully it doesn't last too long.
Just wanted to share our exciting birth story with you guys, I don't know when I will be back on again, but thanks for reading.

Please take care of yourself. I will be thinking of you as you conquer PPD. You are definitely not a horrible mom.
