What did you think?

I reccommend it.

I read it years and years ago. I was not raised in a traditional Christian home so I didn't relate in that way, but it touched me deeply and I have recommended it many times. I was amazed that Kidd and her husband were able to stay married through her awakening. It gave me strength at the time that love knows no bounds.

it didn't serve me THAT way either as my dance is veru different from her.
BUT I loved the lessons about the impotyance of women's imagry etc.

My 22 yr old daughter and i read it together.

just great imagry for the journey.

I used to be a midwife in Portland AND Vancouver.

I loved the book, as you might guess from my senior title! Until my early 20s, I attended Baptist/Christian (as in, "[suburb name] Christian Church"), and the institutional misogyny finally drove me away. I loved reading an exploration of the feminine divine.

I'd still love to read something about a spiritual journey that doesn't involve acutal globetrotting. I can't afford world travel!

I really enjoyed it. I like "Firstlight" by her as well.

Hi intentfulady,

Interesting that you used to be a midwife in my neighborhood. My babies were born with midwives in California. I would love to connect with likeminded women in Vancouver, I just don't know where to find them as I don't have babies anymore....

Blessings,
