Milk blister??

Please help.

I think this is what I have. It started a few days ago, all in my left breast. I thought I was getting a pluged duct, I've had one once before, so I had dd nurse more frequently on that side, making sure her tongue was facing it. The voice in my head said I should do a vinegar wash, but I didn't listen to it. Why oh why am I so silly?

So today the area where I was feeling pluged feels fine, but this morning I had a little while spot on the top of my nipple. I did a vinegar wash, and have done one after every nursing today. As the day has progressed, the pain is getting worse. Now the other side, by my ribcage/armpit is sore All. the. time. The white spot on my nipple is raised. When I pump into my manual pump, after nursing dd on that side, nothing seems to come out of the blister area. I have been putting a heated boobie tube (think rice bag) on this side in between nursing. It hurts like h811 to nurse, makes me almost cry. I went and got some probotics this evening as well and have had one dose so far.

Any advice, help, suggestions???? Please. :

Also I soaked my nipple in warm epsom salts water for a few minutes (weird I know) and that helped to soak the dried milk out of the nipple. This is a little different from a clogged duct internal to the breast.

I am with you. currently having the same problem. Using warm compresses before nursing, but it still hurts like heck. went to the doctors, she said I just had to ride it out. Really painful! I will try the epsom salt. But if anyone out there has conquered this completely, please let me know. it has been almost a month!:

I tried the epsom salts, warm compress, vinegar wash after nursing, lots of probotics, and upped Sodium Ascorbate Vit C jst because it seems like it helps everything else, and now a few days latter it does seem much better! It no longer is so painful I want to cry when nursing, just a little sore.

It went down quite a bit the first night, so I did not attempt to 'pop' it or anything. I am thinking another day or so and it should be gone for good at this rate.

I get these from time to time and I use a sterile needle to pop them. Then a little bit of lansinoh and warm compresses. This gives immediate relief.

I have also been known to take a sterile needle to my nipple blisters. I was surprised at how muhc it didn't hurt, and how much better I felt.
