how to make a basket liner?

I got a few square willow baskets and want to make a cloth liner for them to coordinate with other things in the room. What is the simplest way to do it? Baskets are really a cube shape 10X10X10.

I pulled the liner out of a 10"x10" basket I have at home and it looks fairly simple. There is one long piece of fabric about 33" long. It's not a straight rectangle - it's 11" wide at each end and tapers to just about 10" in the center. (FYI, my measurements don't include seam allowances.) There are two separate pieces attached on either edge to form the other sides of the liner.

It's difficult to type out what I mean, so here is a really basic drawing of what I'm talking about.

Now that I think about it, though, you could probably just make a very basic bag, a bit larger than the basket; that would be a lot easier. If the inside of the basket isn't going to be seen, it won't matter if the liner doesn't fit nice and square inside.

Hope that helps at least a little bit!

Thanks! The drawing is great! It is not that hard to do I think.
