Off Topic a bit, but I wanted to share with you

[Ivan's Mom]

I am just so tired of circ, CIO, spanking, belittling, and the list can go on and on.

I love Ivan so much and I was lying next to him in bed and thought of all the things that I want to say to him. He is a little boy (17 months) so he cannot "get it" with just spoken words. I wanted to write them down and I came up with a very "free-form" poem.

I love you people at CAC and this is where I spend my time so I wanted to share it with you.

Happiness is Being Attached

Together each night we sleep side by side
Mama is there to hush away fear
Mama is there to wipe any tears
Our arms wrapped around each other so tight
Our breath is in sync
Our hearts are entwined and beat as one

Dear sweet Ivan our love is unique
Never have I know anyone as attached as we
Together each day to share, laugh, and play
My love for you grows by leaps and bounds every moment

I believe in you
I believe in your cries, they are always for real
I believe in your rights, you are a person, no matter how small your stature
I believe in your pain
I know you are capable of feeling, so I respect your body and emotions

I love you and you are mine, born from my body
A miracle!
You get your nourishment from my body
Another miracle! A gift! I am your Dairy Fairy!

As you grow I will continue to keep you safe from harm
You amaze me with your beauty, intelligence and humor
I will always do my best for you, to help you keep all things that make you unique
You are my heart and I am so in love with you
