Thread Starter
its now week 34 for me, and i eat really like crazy.....
i was 47kilos before i had my baby.....
then i gain like almost 20kilos,
i'm 66kilos for 34 weeks to my baby due january 9 2007....
is it normal for a pregnant woman to gain a lot of weight like me?
what is the normal weight?
my baby size now is 2.7 kilos with 27cm length....is it normal?
or i need to gain more weight??

I have no idea how kilos compare to pounds :
I would say normal in pounds is anywhere from 15-70.
I have gained in the 20s with each pregnancy.
Keep in mind it isn't how much you are eating but what you are eating. Make sure you are getting plenty of protein, lots of fruits & veggies and try to stay away from empty calories.

I think it depends what your pre-pregnancy weight was. I was already overweight so the recommendation for me is less than 20 lbs. I've had friends though who were underweight when they got pg and told to gain up to 40 lbs.

As for the baby keep in mind that estimations on their weight aren't very accurate. If done by ultrasound they can be off 1lb or more in either direction.

47kg is around 103lbs
66kg is around 145lbs
2.7kg is around 6lbs

some women gain more and some less. As long as you're eating healthy foods you will gain what you need to gain.
