What/who is Charlotte Mason?

I went to a HS group the other day and someone mentioned Charlotte Mason,can anyone give me a basic idea of what this is?I gather it is a curriculum,that's about it......TIA

This is a great jumping off point. So far I only am doing the tea time she loved so much. LOL! Really, tea time has helped a lot.

She was an educator in England about 100 years ago. She wrote a series of books about educating children, and her methods have become very popular among homeschoolers. SOme of the things that homeschooling the CM way can involve is keeping a nature notebooks, getting outside daily, keeping lessons to a 20 minute maximum for the younger students, and using "living books" rather than textbooks. An internet search on Charlotte Mason will yield an enormous amout of education I would imagine.
