Do you think it's starting?

My official due date in 26.12., but according to ovulation I am due on 23.12. Yesterday arround 5 PM I started having quite strong contractions at 5 minutes. They were stronger than the usual BHC, but not the REAL, painfull ones. I went to rest at arround 11:30 PM and have fallen asleep till 2 AM, when the contractions woke me up again. I couldn't sleep because of them, they were regular, at 5 minutes and I went to the bathroom several times. At arround 6 AM they allmost stopped, now they are milder and irregular.

My first birth was very obvious, my water broke and with that there came the first real contraction. DD was born 3 hours later. What's happening now is a bit confusing... I guess full moon is doing its thing .

almost the same thing happened to me last night. I had contractions for a while at three to five minutes apart. but mine went away after I went to sleep. Actually one did wake me up, so the little ones could have continued, but not much action this morning. I'm kind of disappointed. Oh well, she'll come when she comes. I'm just so ready. u

I've had my checkup with the OB today. There were some pretty strong contractions visible on the CTG, which I hardly felt. So this night things were really quite intense. The baby is doing very well, I'm 2 cm open, everything is soft, but my cervix is stil in retroverse position. We'll see what happens...

at this point, dialation doesn't mean jack skippy. So don't you worry about it being in the retroverted position. I had a hospital birth (albeit a natural one) with my first, and had an OB appt one morning, where he said it would be a while, my cervix was a bit dialated and effaced, but just not ready yet. That night I had a 4.5 hour labor. So don't let the cervix get you down. Hopefully we'll both go soon. I'm still really crampy today on and off, but nothing spectacular. oh and it feels like the kid is gnawing on my poor cervix, and that does hurt. Luckily it's just every now and then that she decides to poke it or whatever.

I'm with you on the moon doing things - I too was laying awake last night, although it sounds like yours were stronger than mine....

Yep, my cervix is also in a very hittable position for the little one . I'm still feeling crampy all the time.

Oh good! I thought MY kid was the only one who did that cervix stabbing poke thing!!! Drives me nuts and it HURTS!
