So...who's still pregnant? - Page 5

My little one has slowed down enough they have me going in for bi-weekly NSTs. I don't feel like it is because she is too crowded either, especially with her still being able to change positions so easily.

My baby is still moving a lot-- but I don't think she can change her position at all. There is a foot right below my ribs on the right side which periodically pops out when she is stretching, and I feel her head practically on my pubic bone moving back and forth and sometimes hiccupping. I can't imagine she could grow much longer in there-- she feels like a very long baby!

At night when i'm laying down I can feel other parts too.... but no huge "belly rolls" like i had around 7-8 months.

The other things bug me too, but that one particularly gets my goat! :
oh, this makes me want to become violent! If you want to put yourself in danger, say this to me while pregnant. I swear I'll hit you!

Also, I hate it when people say (of course looking at your belly and not even making eye contact)-- Oh aren't you getting BBBIIIGG!

What a dumb thing to say to someone! I just want to say, yeah, and aren't you getting dumb!

maybe I'm just sensitive, but I wish they'd go away or just not talk to me at all! (even if they are well meaning....)...

Not a whole lot, it's starting to get scary - but just as I start worrying I get a solid boot to the ribs.

39 weeks, 2 days. Not a sign of mucous plug, no bloody show, nothing

LizaBear, Have you started some EPO yet? That's worked for you before, right?

I'm 38w 4 days today...neither of the other two got started for two more WEEKS at this point...although I'm not uncomfortable really, I don't exactly relish the idea of two more weeks of waiting/preggo tiredness/checking TP/poops that feel like going into labor/midnight eating (by me) ... but if that's what baby needs, that's what baby gets Since it's dropped, I'm assuming it won't be that long...but who knows!?

Babys movement spooks me now too. Just now I'm waiting for some action. I hate it when they get quiet!

AS IF people say 'you're going to pop!' I don't think anyone has EVER said that to me. That's kind of weird. And a gross image, really...speaking of popping, a bubble in my lower digestive area (scuse the TMI) popped this morning - this is INSIDE, not on the way out as normal - hard enough that I thought it must be my water breaking. My whole belly moved and I heard it as well as felt it.
Er, nope.

My babe seems to lay low most of the day, but then throws a disco-party (had to copy-cat that reference, it just fit so well!) every night around 7 or 8 PM. BH pick up then too - and there is a nerve she keeps hitting - b/c she WON'T drop down that will shoot across my butt-cheek. Argh... I'm 39.4 today, still at 1.5 cm and 60% effaced. I shouldn't really complain b/c other than the nightly party, I'm not that uncomfortable and haven't really taken any steps to help this labor along. Last time I stuck with lots of walking and sex. But I'm wondering if maybe some EPO might help. Hmm - If I'm still preggo next week this time, I'll probably consider it...

Yes, been taking it orally for a week or so now, and internally for a few days now as well.

Went and got a box or Raspberry Leaf tea tonight too - good thing I actually enjoy this tea as is.

RRL tea is gooooood. I should get some. I've been taking my RRL capsules, of course, but I like the tea too.

Maybe the crazy-a$$ed weather in this province will help us out - does barometric pressure do anything? I should have a lot more snow at my house by dawn. Right now it's clear out but the Snow Beast is on its way!

Well I posted that yesterday, and she was active during the day, then I noticed she didn't have her usual kickfest when I went to bed. I woke up worrying about it at 2:30 am.... eventually I went down and got some OJ and a snack (or 2 ) and she definitely started moving around.... I think she IS slowing down now though. Scary! I think she might be dropping a bit as well.... it's hard to tell.

I love my RRL tea!!! I am doing EPO too. I have been taking it for a few weeks and just started doing internally. It feels odd to be sticking a caplet up there but you gotta do what you gotta do

My little guy isn't moving as much as he used to. It really scares me sometimes as I'm used to a little kickfest every 2-3 hours, but now I'm feeling him in spurts 2-3 times a day.

My stepsister had her baby girl this morning.... and now I just want my baby to be here!!!!

I had my MW appointment today. I have dropped - I'm measuring smaller again. I'm 38w5days, and I'm measuring 36. (I was 37 last week). So we think my hope for a 8lb or bigger baby is out the window at this point but we'll have to see.
Babe has just changed position a bit and seems to be kicking me in the placenta, so that's why I haven't felt as much movement.
Looks like I'm going to stay healthy tho - the stuff I got from my naturopath for my chronic UTIs seems to be working, so that's

MamaJava, can you share what your naturopath gave you for your UTIs? I had a couple troubles with this earlier in the pregnancy, and would love to have info on hand for natural remedies for any future pregnancies. Thanks, Sara

The main for thing for me was a good probiotic, taken 2x a day, plus a better prenatal vitamin, and then a liquid homeopathic medicine, called Renelix. It's a blend of a bunch of remedies specifically for urinary tract and kidney health.

The main problem I had was a weird bacteria (typically only people with kidney stones or those that are wheelchair bound get it) that we could not get rid of with antibiotics. I had 3 infections with that same one, and one progressed to a kidney infection. This was the last stop before going on IV abx to try and get rid of it.

He said the probiotic would be the biggest helper. Not sure why. The vitamin was important because I hadn't been taking one (couldn't keep them down) and when he looked at my blood under the microscope it was showing deficiencies in several things, so that wouldn't have been helping with my overall health.

I had tried cranberry tablets to no avail, and that usually works for me. I have been drinking tons of water, also to no avail.

I think probiotics help because with the good little guys growning you in, there isn't room for the bad guys to invade and grow...

I had my Doc appointment today and am 3 cm dilated, 50 percent effaced

I'm 37 weeks by my most distant due date, so I can have the baby at any time now!

I'd like for baby to wait, but I've found myself doing lots of squats and talking to her saying--you can be born now, baby, it is okay...

Then I won't have to clean the house!

But to be fair, I should hold off on these efforts until dh finishes with school... right?

I am 39w 3d by my farthest date. I let the midwife check a week and a half ago and no dialation at all. So I decided not to check this week. My doula is flying in from CO on Tuesday so i want to hold off anyway. Not many contractions, just a little here and there. The dr's in my group are starting to get antsy b/c I have pretty big babies (last one was 10lb 12oz born on her due date) but my midwife is doing a good job holding them off. I am taking beta blockers due to some heart issues but other than that, pretty uneventful pregnancy. I am getting pretty miserable and ready to meet our new little one.
