Just fyi, I am poasting this in both the VBAC, UC, and homebirth forums as well, you are not just going crazy!
I was at a consult with a midwife, I am not pg yet, ttc now, and she said that I am "too large" to attempt a homebirth, esp. a vbac, because of "endurance issues". She also said that I should only gain 15# during pg. as I have "plenty of reserves"
: I am appalled at this, because I wonder how many other women had to hear this?? I don't think I am "too large" (5"4; 178lbs) and I know that I am healthy, but now she planted a small seed of worry in my mind, and as you know that is all it can take sometimes. Please let me know what you think and lend support.
Thanks!
