For those doing a hospital birth, are you packed yet?

I'm not. I think I ought too since I am planning on a 5 hr trip to the hospital. But I'm not. I keep procrastinating. : :

I am finally done!!! I do need to finish the bag for my son since he will be staying with friends.

I just have to pack my just-in-case bag for the hospital (mw likes to have it, then they work out of it otherwise) but I'll make that my early-labor project, as usual

No, I keep postponing it. My hospital is 5-10 min away from my house so even If I do not do it - I will be OK or ask dh to bring me what I need. What is in your bags?

I have a few things in a bag, but need to put the baby's stuff in the bag, too. We are about 15 minutes away from the hospital, so it isn't too big a deal. Plus there is a whole foods right across the street, so good munchies are at hand.

I hope to be in the hospital for the very minimum amount of time--so not a whole lot is needed... just something warm and comfy to o home in and a few snacks for the middle of the night, if they're needed (oh, and a toothbrush and soap and shampoo--I should put that stuff in there...)

Well, the contractions I had Saturday night prompted me to get off my ass and pack my bag... so yeah, all packed!!!

Hmm - sort of. It doesn't look like it compared to all the STUFF I had ready for the last time. But I delivered so quickly last time that we ended up just carting it all home again unused... So - I took a minimalist approach this time. Just clothes and toiletries for me, clothes & blankets for baby, a tennis ball (counterpressure!), snacks and juice. Really, my goal this time is to be at the hospital less than before - and I delivered in less than 2 hours last time! Cross your fingers for me!
