OK, my DD has been 10th% in weight all along - 6.2 at birth, up to 13.1 at 6 months. It's been 3 1/2 weeks since I last weighed her, & today (she'll be 7 months in 3 days) she's 13.4 1/2, or gaining at the rate of 1 oz/week for the last month (she gained about 1 lb/mo. for between months 4-6). Is this just her own growth rate, or should I be concerned? She's been trying out solids, but doesn't have the swallowing them idea down yet; I'm also 8 weeks preg. I don't want to go poking formula at her unnecessarily, but neither do I want to deprive her of extra calories if she actually needs them. I'm happy she's gained something, but is 1 oz/week OK for her age range/percentile? She is real active, & makes lots of wet dipes.

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

Once bfed babies start moving around they tend to not gain much at all. Both mine hit 20pds at 6mo then at 1 yr they were still in the 20 pd range. They both grew in hight and are healthy. I think she would let you know if she wasnt getting enough milk by being fussy at the breast. Maybe try weighing her before and after a feed and see how much she is getting each time just so you know.
