Yay! My bankruptcy has been discharged!

I think that's what it's called. At any rate, it's done- I owe nothing. Wow. I know that bankruptcy is so looked down on, but at the rate we were going, I was going to be in debt forever. We could pay the minimum payments, but since the minimum payments doubled in January, we had to pay some of our bills on my CC's! (close to the same amount that we paid on the cc's!)
My debt was $15,000. Which people have said that wasn't much, but to US it was a LOT when we added dp's $15,000 debt. (Since we aren't married, dp still has his debt.)
So...yay! The only debt I have is $1200 in student loans. Dp's parents have helped out on his, so he has about $7000 left maybe. Then our van.
That feels so much more do-able than $30,000 plus the van!!

And here's my rationalization part- I've paid those cc's so much in interest over the years, that they probably got all the money back that I charged. lol

Anyways, just had to share my relieving news

I am glad that you got the result you needed-- good for you!

I just had to gasp because our debt is three times the size of yours, but since well over half is student loans a bankruptcy wouldn't help. Oh well, we're snowballing or way out of it!
