Hemhorroids 4.5 months postpartum? TMI

Sorry guys...just wondering this...I have maybe had these once before- back before I was preggo. I did NOT get them during pregnancy, and I just noticed them a few days ago. They don't seem to be too bad, but why would this happen now? I know my dad has always had them very bad (ew) so is it genetic? TIA.

I know that varicose veins are genetic and they are just varicose veins in your bum, so yes.

Hylands has a good homeopathetic ointment that really helped after the birth of my babe

i have also been using "mama's bottom" from earth mama angel baby. i think i had one (i've never had them before and well, i didn't want to know either way!). i used the ointment (just a tiny bit) for a couple days and all is much better!

Do these ever really go away? I'm pretty sure I got one (never had one before) during my son's birth (flat on my back in a hospital...) nine months ago, and it's still not gone. I used witch hazel when it was new and terrible, now it's just uncomfortable and annoying.

I don't think they ever really go away, but they can go dormant. I haven't been bothered by mine since like a week pp, but i know my mother had flair ups for years.

That's not what I want to hear! I'm almost 7 months pp and have been putting up with them continuously since about week 38 of pregnancy. It hasn't been painful since before the birth, but it is SO annoying.

ds is 18 months and mine seem to come and go depending on my level of hydration/constipation....when it hurts I put Herbal Ed's Salve on 'em and that helps by the next day. The key for me is not getting constipated at all -then they seem to go far, far away to some hidden land....
