In need of positive prayers and thoughts for my baby.

I am so worried about my baby. I got a call from the CT scan department at The Hospital for Sick Children and we have an appointment next Wednesday. I am supposed to do a feed and sleep which means that he gets an IV, I feed him and they scan when he is sleeping. It is that or he has to be put under. He will only be four weeks old then!

They want to take a closer look at two fluid filled cysts in between his brain halves and see if they can determine how they may impact him.

I hope he is going to be okay. I love him so much but I am so worried.

Not in your DDC, but I had read your birth announcement and this message, and just wanted you to know that I'm sending lots of hugs and positive thoughts to you and your sweet baby!

Everything will probably be just fine, but it's good that they are taking precautionary measures to check on everything. And by the way, your son is absolutely adorable.

Mama!! I definitely know what it's like to worry about a baby, and I'm so sorry that you're having to deal with this right now. I hope that you get some good answers soon! I'm glad that they won't have to put him under for the CT scan. Will you have to stay over in the hospital or can you do it as outpatients?

Thank you for the support. We are able to do the test as outpatients. I wonder how long the actual scan might take. I should have asked that today.
