41 week apponitment...feeling more positive

Well last week i was all upset that I hadn't dialated or anything, and i was scared to death of induction.
Today i was seen by the head midwife of our local team, and she was great.
She said they will allow me to go for 12 days (overdue) and then they'll want to see me, but they will NOT pressure me to be induced if I and the baby are both "happy" as she put it. They will then take it a few days at a time and just moniter me closely.
I did let her do an internal and give me a bit of a stretch and she said she was was quite hopefull afterwards.....she said she may even see me this weekend which would be great cuz i'd love it if she was the one who delivered the baby....
So yeah...i'm just feeling better about the whole induction thing, knowing I won't be pressured if it comes to it.

I'm also going to go for some reflexology tomorrow if I can get them to squeeze me in!

Well...this morning i was greeted by a huge big glob of show..this time brownish in colour..........it was possibly the internal yesteday that did that......I also feel like i'm getting my period.

My very early labor contractions felt sort of like menstrual cramps.

Any news? An internal would just cause spotting, what you're describing sounds more like the bloody show. I had that in the afternoon with my ds and he was born late that night (3rd baby, though). I feel for you, I was 12 days late with my first, and those were loooong days! The crampiness sounds like early labor to me, too! Keep us posted!

Thanks so much for the encouragement........
It's about 1am and I'm getting sharp period type pains every 5-6 minutes or so.....nothing too major......so i think i'm going to head off to bed and try and get some rest!
I'm kind of unsure as to what to expect. I've haven't had any "tightenings" just....these cramps.
