TTC in 2007 - Babes in waiting... - Page 6

we are going to start ttc #2 in april/may bc i want our los 18 months apart!!!! i cant wait!!!!
I can't wait! Currently the plan is to start after dd's birthday in April, so probably May will be the earliest. But I've given dh till April to make the final call. So he may decide to push it back closer to the end of the year. I hope not! Practically, I don;t mind the wait, since dd is still nursing lots and I went throught nursing during pg and tandem once and am not eager to repeat it. I will if I have to but it wasn't my favorite mommy experience. But I want another baby so bad right now!

I was having the hardest time waiting until February! But now, since our not-so-holiday-present came early when our insurance decided to drop our only local hospital that handles anything baby related. Which means, TTC plans have been moved from Jan/Feb to July/August when we move and have a new non-sucky insurance. Time to update my siggy!

I'm trying to stay positive (who wants to start off the new year all jaded?) but it's hard. This does mean we get to take our big trip to Thailand this summer. And it means I get to work on my patience, and who doesn't relish developing more patience!

Katherine, I am loving your positive thinking. I'm taking notes, : That trip sounds like something to keep your mind on, what fun!

GG, Thanks for the links!! I spent a good half day I was suppose to be working looking through those sites!

I'm on CD9 (haven't been to bed yet though) and should O between CD14 and CD16... so far everything seems to be going well. We're DTD every other day to make sure we have a good chance of catching it. My doc recommended every 36 hours... but counting the hours is too much like work for me... I kind of want to keep it fun so neither of us gets burnt out... and so we don't get so stressed that we cause ourselves problems kwim?
It's weird. I've been looking forward to this for so long, and now that it's here, I kind of miss it being just around the corner. : I'm sure it's just nerves and will go away eventually.
Happy new year everyone
I hope everyone's waiting period goes by quickly for them. Can't wait to see all the BFP's in the group! :

I hope it goes by soon too. Or else I am going to be too impatient to wait. LOL. Oh well.. I guess the thread does say... TTC IN 2007- so I guess I made it that far.

Yeah, counting hours kind of takes the fun away - doesn't it? Good luck to you!! :

Moi. Instead of doing Uni work like a good expectant mummy who wants to finish here degree first, I'm surfing the net reading MDC and buying baby books like.....a good expectant mummy who just wants to say screw it and get pregnant now!

A year seems such a long time right now. I know it will fly by and I'll be wondering what I was so impatient about, but I'm so fed up with my current life situation and can;t help longing for my new wonderful life that awaits me

I so feel you on this Cx! I am not happy at my current workplace but I plan to work through my pregnancy here which means another 2 years . After the baby comes we will consider me being a SAHM, which is what we both want. I keep telling myself that it will be worth the wait. (side note: getting us into a position for me to be ABLE to SAH is what is making us wait. It's bitter-sweet.

Good Book

A few pages back, some of us were talking about being PG and all our fears. I found a book recommended somewhere (here maybe?) called "Fearless Pregnancy: Wisdom and Reassurance from a Doctor, a Midwife, and a Mom." I bought it from amazon for $2.99 although the price has gone back up to $10.95 now

I started (and finished it) over this weekend, and I like it better than both the "Hello My Name is Mommy" and "Girlfriend's Guide" books I've read. I really really liked the fact that they included a midwife in the authoring. It's still pretty mainstream, but it is friendly towards those who decide to do home births and no vax, and it brings up those subjects quite often. And it really does do a good job of calming and addressing common fears. Over and over they say 98% of pregnancies go well, instead of focusing on the 2% that don't. I think the best take away from the book though is that they while you can do lots of good things for your baby, that should anything bad happen, it's not your fault.

Anyway, it's a good read, especially if you get a deal on it!

Thanks for the recommend.

WHAT?? YOU THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO SAY I WAS PREGNANT?? NO!!!

But, my problem is that I have found it too hard to resist. DH and I have almost agreed to try on my next ovulation day... (mid Feb.) and that would put our youngest about 2 years apart if we got pregnant then.

So I couldn't hack the wait... : : : :

At least I made it to 2007... :

Woo-Hoo Danile! Congrats on the decision. I bet you are so excited. I would love to start trying now but the wait continues for us. In lieu of your good news here's some dancing produce!
