Inflatable parties and germs... - Page 2

I dunno if it's too late for the OP but we're NEVER going to another one of these places again. WE hosted a bday party for DD there and we're onto week 2 of a ridiculously high fever, earache and tummy bug, all from there. Never ever ever again. Our family has never been this sick.

We love Pump-It Up!!! We had Ds's birthday there. We have also been to a bunch of birthdays there and the pop in playtime. It is no worse then school, or the grocery store or any other public place. Just make sure to wash hands before eating and not to touch your face as always to help stop the spread of germs.

WE go every single week to one, once a week, sometimes twice. Ds has only had a cold so far from me, not there, so i dunno.

OP, I'm chiming in late...but I say GO you can pick up germs and get sick from the grocery store.

PS, I like Chuck E Cheese. It's best to go early in the morning when it's less crowded.

Well, we went. Thanks to everyone for your help. Although I will say, RainCoastMama, your post freaked me out!!!!!!!!!! At exactly what day do you think we could say we are safe? It was Saturday so it's been two days. It was an ok party but we totally could have skipped it. DD got pushed pretty hard and meanly (a whole 'nother post! : : ) by, guess who THE BIRTHDAY BOY. He was kinda acting like King you know what.

As far as cleanliness it seemed ok. They sprayed hand sanitizer on all the kids beforehand and, then after upon entering the cake room. How well do those things work anyways? I couldn't wash her hands before the cake because that is when the pushing thing happened so I hope the sanitizer got anything nasty. It was ok but I guess we'll just wait and see. It was good she got to go but I learned a few things. There was only one sicky boy there with a cold, from what i could tell and I asked them about their open play to see how much of the public came in on a daily basis. When I walked in there was such chaos from a previous party that I couldn't believe I was actually doing it! ug.

thanks again everyone..the consensus seemed to be go and don't worry so much so I tried it. i hope i don't regret it!

thanks again!
