Suddenly very greatful to have been pregnant this long...

I frequent another board and two of our members have recently had 30 week babies. I'm so sad for what those mamas are going through, being separated from their new babies I can't imagine how difficult this is for them.

As much as I bitch and moan about being pregnant forever, I'm truly thankful to have had the time I did to grow my baby to term.

I would have killed (not literally) to have had my baby be full term. I'm still grieving some things.

At the same time, I, too, am fortunate. She is healthy and I made it to 34 weeks, which is far better than 30, as far as her immediate health and our length of separation was concerned. But I would have taken 42!

I know (not presonally) what you mean. as unbearable the last 10 week feel like they sure beat the alternative. Everytime I felt myself starting to break I would just remind myself that I wanted a fat full term baby and it helped me through it. It breaks my heart to hear some moms stories about having to go home without the baby.
