another exclusive MDC club thing?
Nah, not exclusive, because I've gotten it twice and I am not really part of anybody's club! All it is is one of those meme things, someone says "you're frosted" then you're supposed to frost someone else.

other people's signatures

Hi,

Sometimes I don't understand some phrases in people's signatures. What does "I've been frosted" and "I've been booed" mean? (I visit the pregnancy forums regularly and see these there.) (Should I have put this question there instead? If so, sorry.)

Thanks!

I was just about to post this question? I don't really understand DDDDCs either, for that matter. Do this things mean something specific? When someone is boo'd, I would assume that's negative, right?
No, it's not negative. It's Boo!...from Halloween time.

Wallacesmum, Here is some more info on the DDDDCs

I've seen these phrases in a lot of people's signatures. Curious. Thanks.

We do this thing at work where you "boo" someone on halloween. There is some poem you stick in someone's mailbox, they are supposed to copy it and pass it on till the whole work place has been "boo"-ed. I assume here it is similar, but someone PMs you. I personally don't like it here, because I wasn't boo'd and I haven't been frosted. Even if it is just for fun, I feel totally left out. . . .sorry .

I came here wondering the same thing. So, can anyone 'frost' anyone else?
Hey, right after posting my sad story here, I got triple frosted!
I was frosted, too!
No, you have to have been frosted to frost someone else. It's like a chain letter, only it's cute.

Confused about frosting?

I thought frosting was jewelry or on a cake? So how is everyone getting frosted??
Well I just got frosted, but I'm not going to send it along, until I know what "being frosted" means? Sorry I'm just that way (oh I don't do chain letter either)

Are you frosted by pm? I have been waiting for a clear explantion of how exactly one "gets frosted." And where did this "custom" come from?

Truth is, when I got frosted I didn't want to send it along either. Got the feeling it was something Christmas-y, and, well, everyone in this house is Jewish. And besides, we live in the Middle East and there's no frost around here, for sure.

But eventually caved. Didn't want to be accused of Grinchiness.

Being frosted is by pm it is just for fun. Something to do to fill the time. If you go over in TAO you will see a almost a huge thread on it. I have been "frosting" people all day
