Pelvic/Pubic bone pain

It is so painful! To get off and on a bed is painful even. Has anyone else had this? It's getting to where now even just walking around can be uncomfortable for the pain. Any ideas on what I can do?

crashing your DDC - you probably have symphysis pubis dysfunction (SPD). craniosacral therapy can really help (even during pregnancy). in hte postpartum days, CST can help. you can also get a trochanter belt (you may need a doc's prescription) - it's just a heavy duty belt that goes around your pelvis. if you go this route, do not buy a cheap one on the internet - you really do need a heavy duty thing to hold everything together. physical therapy can also help.

one of the most important things with SPD during pregnancy is that when you are giving birth, do not push whilst lying on your back (like in the movies). this position will just totally exacerbate the problem.

I am in a lot of pain also. getting out of bed 4-5 times a night to pee is painful...walking is also painful. i am just hoping for birth to happen soon!

I am also having pelvic discomfort...ugh...hurts most when rolling out of bed, but also when I am trying to walk fast...

no advice...but hopefully that stage of the pain will be over soon for all of us

I have it too. It is so painful. I also go to the chiro for relief.

I've been trying to do different things to keep from aggravating it and I am finding some relief. I think mine was exacerbated when I walked a 5 mile race (and ran a little) at 35 weeks... That's when it started and it just never completely healed up. I should've known better.

Sorry...barging in. I had this really bad this pregnancy and it completely went away after she came out! Yay! But...nothing really helped while she was in there. Sorry!

I have had pelvic and hip pain off and on for the last month, but seeing a chiropractor has really helped, as well as one of my cats sleeping on my hip when I am on my side (he is warm and purrs in his sleep and it feels so good). I am sure that after delivery it will be fine, at least I hope it will.

I must be the only person for whom seeing a chiro doesn't help much. I've talked to her about my pelvis pain but she hasn't helped at all with that... she has helped some with back issues, but not as dramatically as I see so many MDC'ers posting about!

I have been doing stretching and things like that to try to stay limber, but that's my only idea! Gentle stretching just seems to feel good. But I think being that the problem is really a baby's head wedged in my pelvis, I'm not sure if it will get much better until after she is born! When I first stand up or move into a vertical position (or try) I can feel her kinda slide down a little bit... like a weight settles.

I have this too, and I found that sitting on my birthing ball really helps me.

I have terrible pelvic pain all the time. It hurts in the front *and* in the back. I just made an appointment with a chiropractor. I hope it helps.

I had that - pain with walking, and especially with rolling over in bed or trying to get out of bed. Went and saw the chiropractor today - I feel a million times better! If you can, by all means, try a good chiro. It helped me A LOT!
