Finally a minute to post.

Ds was born on 30th November, 8lb 10oz. I didn't get my VBAC though, I went into labour naturaly but my contractions took a long time to become regular and after 27 hours we opted to go to a C/S.

My recovery has been pretty good this time though, I was home 3 days later and I feel much more mobile now than I did just before he was born.

DD is constantly going over to the moses basket and stoking him which is very cute but has been having some pretty spectacular tantrums, especially at night. I'm hopeing that as we get back to more of our usual routine and I'm able to carry the baby in the sling for longer she will settle down.

Congrats on your little guy! Sorry your VBAC didn't happen as planned.

My toddler has also mastered the Total Meltdown since his sister was born, but he's really sweet to her 99% of the time. I'm learning to cope - it's just not easy.

So glad you are doing well and I can't wait to see pics of your baby.
Sounds like you had a long labor :-( I'm sorry it didn't work out the way you had planned but so glad your baby is here safe and sound and in your arms!

Sorry you didn't get your VBAC. I had a second section this time around, unplanned but went ahead after 2 days of labor and only 2 cm dialated, and I've also found recovery to be amazingly different from last time. Which is a good thing since we have other children to look after.

My dd has joined the meltdown group as well. happy times! On a positive note she thinks that Cohen is the best thing ever and she absolutely adores being a big sister.

Maybe we need a support group for the mamas of 2 year olds.... : those meltdowns are HORRIBLE! New baby is easy, it's the toddler that's hard.

Hi ladies,
I've been too busy to post lately. I am glad your birth, though section, was better for you to recover from. I hope the mental recovery is also smoother.

I also have a 2 year old. Same thing - DS is so sweet and loving to new DD, but angry at mom and dad (esp. mom). Taken to hitting and biting us on rare occassions. Also now getting up at night and one of us has to go up 4 or 5 times to put him back into bed (which he does willingly, but when he wakes he won't just go back to bed by himself. He did this before, all the time, before DD was born.) Yea, lets have a 2 year old siblings group post!

It's nice to know I'm not alone with my 2 year old issues, though I really simpathise with all of you who's older ones have stopped sleeping too.

Things here are going quite well, we got out to a couple of our usual playgroups last week and it was obvious DD enjoyed being out of the house and doing familar things.

We have had some cute moments too, DD has been asking to nurse again (she weaned a couple of months ago) but seems to have forgotton how to suck. Now shes asking "you squeeze some milk ina cup please!"
