New Machine Singer 2732

I have no idea how to use it.
Its brand new, so I have the manual. But its not very helpful to someone as new as me.
I can't even get it to sew a straight stitch the right way. I am completely confused.

Where does one go to learn how use a sewing machine????

It looks like you would move the first lever over to change to zig zag and the the second one to do other stitches.
