Don't you wish sometimes...

That you could take your belly off, put it on a chair somewhere for an hour or two, let your body feel nice and light for a little bit, then put it back on when you are done?

try swimming! it's wonderful!

I was wishing something like that trimming the tree tonight. My belly just got heavier and heavier.

Good point on the swimming/water. Now if only our hot water heater had a better capacity!

You're reading my mind!

yes.

I usually have 2 baths a day... sorry... it's temporary, I am not usually such a wasteful person... at least one of them my DS joins me so that is my excuse..

Our bathtub is not big enough to cover my belly, so baths do nothing.

I tried taking ds swimming a few weeks ago and he refused to get into the pool (He's a bit of a slow adaptor), because we hadn't been there since last spring and it wasn't a familliar place anymore. I should go again now that he's over his cold. It did feel nice for me to sit in the water while he stood on the little platform in the middle of the water talking about the giant ceramic frog that was next to him.. Maybe baby #2 will be a little less eccentric.

Anyway, yes, I am totally there. I keep thinking "oh, since its warmer this week I should get a sled and take Andrew out for a walk." Then I think about how long this would be fun on the uneven snow, with him trying to climb out of the sled and my back starting to ache from pulling him and the weight of my belly, and then me running into a patch of ice and slipping . . . . sigh.

Only a few more months, ladies! Then we'll just be toting the babes around in slings . . . um, exactly where they are right now, on our bellies. But at least you can pass them off.

Oh, goodness, my belly. I wish so much that I could take him off and hand him to daddy and say "you carry him for a while while I sit here and breathe." I do water aerobics 2 nights a week and I just love getting into the pool because I feel Bun's weight just lift off my lungs.

A week ago, I would have been right there with you I'm not sure which way baby is laying now , but I feel WAY lighter, and have more room too pack in the food now then I did a week ago. When I carry high, I am really miserable, hard too breath, hard too bend over, or even squat.. when that happens, I wish I could just take off my tummy for a few hrs and just bend over and touch my toes w/out effort

I always joke with dh that it is his turn to carry the baby for awhile. I, mostly, wish I could take it off to drive and sleep.

I say this to my DH all the time!

It's mostly when I want to sit down and drink an entire bottle of cold beer .

i (kind of) joke with DH to please hold up my breasts for me! between them and my belly i am liable to tip over at any moment (I have hit size H/I - and yes they do make bras that big!)

That's me right now and I'd give a lot for that reposition! How the heck do you get a baby to DROP? My first one never did - well at some point during labor I suppose - and this one isn't showing an inclination for it. I swear I can't go from one side of the house to the other without being out of breath, LOL.

I'm not minding the belly all that much YET. The only thing I wish is that I could take it off to get some cleaning done! I can only do about a third of what I used to accomplish in a day. I just want to go on a cleaning spree to get ready for this baby, but I feel so helpless waddling around trying to bend over all the time and needing to take a break every 30 minutes.

Oh that would be heaven! Being in the water did help a bit but I have to spend the time swimming my 2 year old around that I actually hurt more when I get out then before I got in. If I could just sit and relax it would be something different. My bath tub is out too because it covers only to where my belly starts! I am measuring 38 weeks at 32. I don't want to even imagine what will happen when I get any bigger. I am carrying the highest I have ever carried so maybe if baby drops down some maybe it will make things easier. We shall see!

oh yeah. there's so much that needs to be done around here but sometimes i can't even go upstairs to turn on the heat because i'm so worn out carrying around this bump! and if i do too much i have mad braxton-hicks the next day. i overdid it a bit yesterday and plan to tomorrow so i'm taking it easy now. overdoing it now consists of being out for more than two hours it's sooooo frustrating!

during my last pregnancy i saw the wisdom of marsupials -- getting them out whilst they're small but keeping them close til they're well cooked.
