Help me figure out what to do about interim report

Please help me figure out what I can do about dd's interim report that came home today. (first grade) The repot says that she needs improvement with these skills:
- listens to and follows directions
- organizes materials

If she was having trouble with reading, handwriting, etc. I'd know what to do to help her but with these skills I'm not really sure how to help. Frankly I could use some help with organizing materials myself.

I have no specific suggestions because I'm pretty much in the same boat as you.

My daughter's report came home with similar comments. Her specific problems have to do with spatial organization. For example, figuring out how small to print in order to fit a word in a specific space. She doesn't space her letters consistently within a word, or between words. Not surprising, her printing is not great. I'm going to bookmark the linky above me and hope I find some tips too.
