really desperate...

Hi there.
I am 43, female. I had exczema as a child, and have had sinus allergies as an adult. One son has peanut allergy, asthma, and exczema. My young toddler has eczema only.
About 6 months ago, I began with some type of reaction...neck itchy, small bumps on my face. And, most recently, very puffy (almost burned) eyelids. Very itchy...and now they look crepe-like. The eye itching keeps me awake at night. My lips are itchy, and sometimes swollen. The mornings, immed. after wake-up, seem the worst. I now have a large extra eyelid thing happening, even when i use no soap...just plain water, and haven't eaten anything all night!!! I have seen two docs. No answers. I have removed all of my make up, and changed shampoos. Now, i am wondering about food allergens...and, possible laundry soap? Cortisone cream did not help. can anyone help me pinpoint environmental vs. food, and what would develop at my age? I know the five basic food allergens, and thought I was knowledgable..thank you so much...nowhere else to turn!!!

I'm by no means an allergy expert but have you had any allergy testing done recently? You could also try doing an elimination diet from dairy, soy, wheat, tree nuts, etc and see how that works for you.
