Well, we've found a name we like but won't decide fully until I see the baby. It's important to us to have a name that has meaning to us, is not too common but not to "weird". We like Brodie and Colin but they have no meaning to us. We really like Killian, one of the meanings we found for it is "little Kelly" and dh's name is Kelly. We could also use it for either a girl or a boy, so it works

We've had Anya picked out for a girl since our first pregnancy (boy). I like Cecily or Sage for a middle name. The only boy name we both like is Rogue, not sure about a middle name.

I'm not even going to think about it until the last few months. With my first daughter, I thought about it the whole time. I had one name picked out and then changed it at the 7th month. We had my youngests name picked out when I was about 4 months and my husband wouldn't even consider a different name.
I want the baby to tell me his/her name. (Although, I do like Quinn for a boy)

We picked out DD's name the weekend we took a drive on the old Rt. 66 and conceived her.
I have already been thinking about Gael (boy or girl) for this one (please stick little bean!), as both DH and I have Irish and Scots-Irish ancestry. Plus, we're sort of multi-national, and I want this one to have a name that is easily pronouncable in Spanish and English.

We have had the boy name picked for 2 years. Girl name I just picked last week. Since this is our 3 pregnacy but the first 2 did not go to term. Hubby wants a boy real bad and had middle name picked out from uncle. I was not thrilled with it but it is OK. So our boy if we have one will be Lucas Brady.
For the girl that has been a real tough one for me for some reason. I tend to look at the meanings of a name and how easy it rolls off the tongue. Finally choose Leandra Starr. Starr was my maiden name and I am the last of my branch. Hubby thought this name was way too long since we have a long last name. Its staying for he got his choise on middle for the boy.

i have been thinking about names since i was 5 years old. literally, my best friend and i would make up lists of first and middle names with the last names of the boys we had crushes on and then vote. interesting, because now baby is going to have MY last name (not DH's), something that never crossed my mind in 1976! DH and I have been bickering about names since forever. He hates my first choice name for a boy and my second choice name for a girl. He has thrown out his own suggestions but is unwilling to talk seriously yet. He says if he settles on a name now it will be old news (boring) to him by the time baby comes out!
: Also he wants to meet baby before making a final decision. Just before I got my BFP I had an insight for first name middle name combos that both DH and I should like, but I am saving them to spring at the appropriate moment, maybe between contractions.
Also remember, we will have the benefit of another round of Social Security rankings in May 20007 before we have to commit. Not that I'm obsessed or anything.

Taliesin Fox for a boy.
Pandora Hope for a girl.
My dds name is Lilith Mai. I love old, mythical names with lots of meaning. DH and I both agree on and really like these names, so they are sticking for us.

We've started picking out names and have come up with one boy name possibility and one girl name possibility (both first and middle) We want to have at least 2 or 3 full boy and girl names to pick from and won't settle entirely until they're born.

Great names!! Very unique! I didn't have much choice in naming my first two, but I lean towards Gods and Goddesses when I think of names. My youngest dd is Rhiannon Morgana and if this little pumpkin seed is a girl, we're going with Kallisti Cerridwen.

Judi-
Love your daughter's name!
Last time we went to the hospital with a huge list of both boy and girl names. I liked being able to meet my daughter before I named her. Before I saw her, I was leaning toward Lydia. But then I looked into her eyes and knew she was Claire.
I think we'll probably wait for the new social security rankings before drawing up our list. My husband and I grew up with two of the most popular names of the seventies (there's even a baby name book about name possibilities other than our names
you know the one, Beyond .... and ....) and we want our kids to have less common names. We're kind of traditional, though, and prefer names with some family history (My daughter shares her name with a third cousin, has the same initials as her grandfather and great-grandfather, and her middle name is my grandmother's name).

We have had names picked out since we were dating!
Sarah Lillian (Sarah holds a lot of meaning for DH, but I may change my mind about the middle name)
or
Ethan Asher
We're both hoping for a little Sarah

For a boy, we know the middle name will be Andrew. My late mother's middle name was Ann, and Andrew is the closest I can get to it. We have 5 names we will choose from after birth- Luke, Benjamin (Ben), Noah, Collin, or Nicholas.
For a girl, I know I want the name Grace to be either the first name or middle name, again after my mother (Ann means Graceful). The other four names in the running are Lucy, Caroline, Cecily and Elizabeth (Ellie). Again, we won't fully decide until after the birth.
However, LOL- I am STRONGLY leaning towards Luke Andrew or Lucy Grace, in honor of this being "Lucky" number seven.

NightRose, my sister's name is Rhiannon! I've never heard of anyone else with the name.
I haven't thought of any boy names yet, but for a girl (which I'm hoping for anyway!) I really like Eden Elizabeth.

I have a few I like- DF has this weird obsession with balance. his first and last name both have 7 letters, as do DD and so will this baby. I like Ronan for a boy..but thats 5 letters-i could re spell it Roghnan....I like Charlot for a girl....Ellijah for a boy.....I never really decide until late pregnancy anyway..
