i am getting the worst heartburn in the world, plus whenever i eat anything i feel like it's going to come right back up. like i don't have anymore room for anything. just wondering if anyone else is having this problem, can't wait till i can enjoy eating again

I have no room in my stomach for anything. I have been eating less than 1/2 what I normally eat almost this entire pg. I have been drinking milk to stave off heartburn and it is actually working! The last few times I would just pop Tums or something.

I COMPLETELY relate. This is exactly what I am experiencing. I hate indigestion!!! At least it wont be too much longer.....

Digestive enzymes ( more than just papya enzymes) would really help and probiotics... thats what works for me..

I've been using the papaya enzyme tablets. I didn't realize that probiotics worked for that too. Makes sense though!

I also use probiotics. Some days I have take zantac, though. Not ideal, I know, but sometimes I have to do it to get by.

tonight we ate lasagna for dinner & I took a zantac...I know I'll be feeling that before I go to bed. Most nights though I am okay...milk seems to help me also.

Papaya enzymes have actually been working really well for me, also my prenatal vitamin has a blend of digestive enzymes in it...I can really tell the difference when I forget to take it.

The enzymes and probiotics will help, as will limiting foods that aggrivate acid and reflux (dairy, tomato, citrus, acidic foods, etc).

I had the worst heartburn with dd, and hardly any this preg. - the difference? no dairy in my diet at all (helps with constipation too), and on the days we have foods that are spicy (tacos or salsa), tomato (spag sauce), etc. I try to eat them for lunch and not dinner, and I don't eat anything that might be higher acid after naptime... I get my OJ for breakfast, and that aggrivates me a bit, but not too badly.

Once the cycle starts it only gets worse, your throat will hurt as long as there is acid splashing up... it takes a few days to heal.

Yup. The only relief for the heartburn I have found is to drink a glass of milk. Nothing else works and it doesn't even matter what I eat (a tortilla will give me the same pain as chocolate.)

So - no dairy as in no eggs, cheese, milk, ice cream, yogurt, etc? And I'm supposed to cut down/out carbs b/c I have too much fluid. What can I eat? LOL.
