Filing exemptions

Thread Starter
I finally sent off for my kids exemption forms, but I have a question. In TX we can file religious, medical, and philosophical. In MO you can only file religious and medical. We currently live in TX but will be moving to MO next summer before the start of the school year. So, my question is, should I file phil. exemption in TX or religious? I'm going to have to file religious in MO, as only one of my children can file medical for just two vaccines. Would it look suspicious if I filed phil in TX to turn around and file rel. in MO?

Religious exemption is always better than phil. or medical, imho.

Texas exemptions are "catch-all" in that you don't file one or the other. I think the form says something like "due to religious beliefs or reasons of conscience". You can check at 909shot.

It won't matter for two reasons:

1. TX's philo exemption, includes religious beliefs
2. Missouri will never know you even filed an exemption in TX

But I will always use a religious exemption. It's more airtight IMO.
