and I love her. Best of all, I get to have a waterbirth. The hospital that I had dd in only let women labor in the tub. This hospital lets women actually birth in the tub! : I can also choose to sign up for a study that is collecting data to prove to the medical community that birthing in a tub is safe for both baby and mama. I felt so good about this birth as I was leaving. She said all the right things to make me feel in charge of the birth.

What state are you in? Even the one hospital BC in the city doesn't allow water births! You are so lucky!! Most women here don't even have the option of intermittent monitoring or even getting out of bed. Good for you!

I am in Burlington, Vermont. The baby will be born at the hospital associated with the University of Vermont. I was shocked when the mw told me that I could have a water birth. She said that if the baby needed constant monitoring they have a monitor that is safe to use in the water.
