Scared and worried Help!!

I went to my 36 weeks and 3 day appt on Thursday.. Found out I had an elevated BP and protein in my urine, not to forget that I have had migraine headaches which are totally not common for me. My doc says it is signs of preeclampsia! That word scared the haities out of me.. So he sent me to the Hosp. for a NTS (Stress Test) baby moved, heart beat was 160 and everything went fine , so they sent me home.. I am still having migraines.. Is something wrong with me?? I am supposed to go in for a prescheduled C-section on the 27th.. should the baby be taken before hand, or should I just ride this out? I am so worried.. I have been doing lots and lots of reading, but don't seem to get any help.. I am tempted to call back to the doc and say Im scared can we take her out now? but I kinda figured what the answer would be.. If you have any insight or information you can provide to me, to help sooth me through this and help me believe everything is going to be ok? Please tell me..

Considering that doctors usually err on the side of taking baby TOO early vs. too late, I wouldn't worry too much... if your doc believed there were a problem, you wouldn't be posting, you'd be recovering from your c-section right now.

Besides, worrying is definitely NOT good for your blood pressure or your baby!

Drink lots and lots of water, take it easy, salt your food to taste. Headaches during pregnancy are fairly common, I think from the increased blood flow, but major headaches should be discussed with your care provider.

I think that if you monitor the baby movements and may be get a blood pressure monitor for yourself - you should be fine. Just keep a close eye on your health and call OB if something is 'not right'. Even in the middle of the night.

A local midwife, that has been around for a very long while, belives very strongly in upping your protein for pre-clampsia. And she says that best form of protein when pregnant is eggs. She has had so many cases were dr's have diognosed woman with pre-lampsia and scheduled a c-section or induction that have come to her and basically she's instructed them to eat as many eggs as they can keep down, and to the dr's astonishment when they get retested there is no sign of any protein in urine. But of course when they tell the dr's why they just kind of laugh it off. (because they know everything of course) Its really really worth a try!!!
