41+ weeks and no signs of labor...

what would you do?
cervix is still posterior, baby dropped 4 weeks ago, and this is my first pregnancy. i've also been having semi-regular contractions (5-15 min apart, 30-60 sec long) for about 8 weeks now. yes, 8. luckily they're painless.

i don't think this baby is actually ever going to come :

Just popping in from January DDC to tell you to hang in there I know, easy for me to say, I'm not over due (yet). I went 11 days over due with my DD and they were LONG days! I finally gave up! DH and I went out to dinner, I came home and slept through the night for the first time in ages (well, I did get up to pee) and woke up in labor! It will happen one of these days!

yeah, i'm just bummed because i feel like i've been watching closely for labor since the middle of october (had a preterm labor scare), and according to the midwife's due date, i'm now 10 days overdue. I just had an exam and she couldn't even reach my cervix...

I was overdue (10 days) w/ my little one too and I can relate to what you are going through...BUT don't worry your little one will come when he/she is ready

Right there with ya mama and the stress is overwhelming. My midwife and her assistant are coming over to induce me homeopathically tomorrow and I'm just feeling like complete and total shit over it. It's hard to be positive when you're surrounded by so much negativity and "have you had the baby yet" BS that keeps going around.

I've had some contractions off and on since yesterday so maybe something will happen, but at this point I'm so discouraged with the whole thing I'm starting to convince myself that I'm not pregnant...I'm just a parasitic host and I'll be living with this thing in my body forever. :
