Asher Timothy is here

hi, all

just letting you know that my little guy just didn't want to stay in any longer - Asher Timothy was born by c-section at 12:59 am on December 14, 2006, at 30 weeks. He weighed 3 lbs 5 oz.

i'm home from the hospital now; it was so hard to leave him there he's doing well, though, and he's getting great care in the NICU. i'll be there a lot over the next several weeks! i'll give more details later.

Congratualtions on the birth of your son! I'm so sorry, I know how hard it is to leave them in the hospital while you go home. Come and check out the preemie/NICU forum for some great support from some BTDT mamas.

Not in your DDC but as a mommy of a preemie I just had to send you some (((hugs))) It's a very hard time you are going through, you are not alone. My once 4lbs 9ouncer who was born with no vital stats is now a delightful 5 1/2 year old. It's hard to watch your baby in the NICU and lean on the support of the staff there, your family and friends. The preemie boards are great here as well.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Asher is exactly the same size DD3 was when she was born at 30+2. Hope your recovery is swift, and he is home with you soon!
