This is a take off from a thread I saw on the toddler forum, but thought it would be fun for everyone.

What gift are you most excited about your child getting. For me, it's the digital camera's my dd's are getting.

A scooter and she got it and loves it (Hanukkah started already).

A Zoombox.

It's one of those gifts that really for me. I've been wanting a second DVD player in the house for a while now- for times when *I* want to watch a movie and dh or dds are wanting to watch something different, and also because our current dvd player is on its last legs and I'd like the kids to stop using it so it survives longer.

A zoombox is a DVD player that projects the image on a wall or blanket. I'm sure it'll be a huge hit, and I we'll use it for years. I still have my first TV/VCR I bought 13 years ago- so I keep my electronics forever. (Yes, that is a justification because it is WAY more $$ than I normally spend on presents.)

hmm...probably the box of dress-up stuff for dd. I went a little overboard on it, but I think she's really going to love it.

The Bitty Baby we got for dd1 and the MP3 player we'll get for dd2. Just hoping ds likes something he's getting, because I refused to buy the Nintendo DS he wants.

Several Plan Toy sets for my 2 year old and several Rokenbok sets for my 6 and 10 year old.

Dd really wanted one of those "Fun with your cat" kits last year but didn't ask for it (she said to me, after Christmas) because "It said for ages six and up." She still wanted it this year so it's under the tree.

Ds is getting a doll because he loves babies right now.

James LOVES trains, LOVES them. So we REALLY saved up and bought him this full size (well not full size, but kid size) ride on train that rids on tracks or hard floors. He's getting it from Santa. I cannot WAIT to see the look on his face.

For us too, but we save the best for last. Hey for those of you who do Hanukkah gifts each night. Best first, Best last or all fairly equal?

DD will be overjoyed when she gets:
A bathrobe (I know it sounds crazy but she hs always wanted one and we never found one in her size...now that she's 4 bathrobes come in her size)

A bug vacuum she even told santa that is what she wanted.

A Train Table
a remote control car that DH picked out (sil asked "did he get that for HIM or DS )
Fire Engine

*Extremely* happy will be an understatement. DS will be ecstatic when he wakes up Christmas morning. DH and I were talking last night how we are going to set things up for him.

DH will capture his expression on video.

Well, I'm the most excited about the presents my kids are getting from my parents. They got my DS the Dr. Dreadful Snack Lab he's been DYING for, and they got my DD a tea set with cups, plates, etc., and she absolutely loves dishes. I can't wait to see their reaction!

O.K. the gift I am most excited about giving DS is not very crunchywaldorfnaturalorganically inclined, but man is his little 3 1/2 year old heart going to do a jump for joy when he opens up his 'Cars' dinky collection I fiendishly hunted down for him! Every 40 year old man in town has been snapping them up to sell on e-bay, so I had to send out my family troops to locate the last ones. We got almost every character, and it wasn't easy!

Baby Ellie is getting a much more crunchy gift: a harp, and a gotz baby doll that her baby clothes fit on.

Their diapers and woolies. And their Folkmanis puppets were a big hit.

DD's bday is today, just six days before Christmas.

I can't wait until she opens her My Twinn doll in the morning. I think that she is going to love it, especially since I got the doll glasses that match hers.

For Christmas, the gift that I am most looking forward to watching her open is the sewing machine that MIL is giving her.
