After days of prodromal labor my midwife felt it best to induce labor on last Weds. After having my membranes stripped and 4 hours of labor, a problem was found. The baby was having major decels with my contractions and an ultrasound was done. The cord was wrapped around his neck and he was partly in the birth channel. An emergency c-section was done and the only thing that mattered was that I have a healthy, strong little boy. I was in surgery for 20 minutes when my beautiful son was born at 6:18 am on Dec 14th. 42 weeks, 20 inches, 7lb 10 oz of beautiful blue eyes and red hair. To say I am overjoyed is an understatement, he is the most beautiful baby I have ever seen!!!
