They were so excited. Of course they want to keep it. Anyone know how to clean it so it'll be nice and white? Bleach solution? We think it's a beaver but not sure. Going to show dh when he gets home.

Soaking it in a bleach solution overnight is a good idea. You could also bake it in the oven for a while for added assurance.

Congrats to your kids! What a find- I can think about a lot of things you could learn around a skull, have fun with it!

We soaked a racoon skull in super crazy hot water and baking soda. Then we let it dry in the sun.

Hm, I don't know if I can bake it in the oven, since I just cleaned the oven today :

I was thinking it could be a cat too, as I was petting my own cat. It's hard to tell, there isn't any fur left. Some teeth. I'll get a better look at it tomorrow. Any ideas how I can figure out what it is?
