I feel like this is a stupid question, but would coconut oil affect someone with nut allergies?

You can be allergic to coconut, but it is not actually technically a nut.

Coconut is a fruit (or maybe it's a seed -- but it's definitely not a nut!) -- but if you are using oils, there could be mfg. cross contamination from other nut oils.
